View Full Version : tweaking 1.8 channel master
Hi ive got my installer coming tomorrow to tweak my channel master my question is would it better for me to keep using my new inverto black ultra lnb or stick with my older invacom snf-031 c120 lnb,the inverto appears to give higher db but iam not sure if thats a false reading or if it really does out perform the c120

Thanks silverfox have you ever tried the inverto on a larger dish yourself.if yes how did it compare to the c120 for you or perhaps anyone else can give a comparison

i have used both lnbs in the past with a channel master 1.2 and still have a channel master 1.2 infact i have 2 now
and i have ditched the c120s a long time ago for standard universals
i have not installed my black ultra to the channel master just yet but will do soon
its a matter of opinion i think
some people swear by c120 flange type lnbs and others don't get on with em
just see what u like
Thanks Silverfox what i was really getting at was there any reason why the c120 with the feedhorn would technically out perform the inverto black ultra ie the feedhorn itself or does it not make any real difference these days

i dont see any difference infact they are not used that much any more just the old hats use em that are set in their ways
but i think a universal should do you just the same in performance
Ok ive had the local installer around but i still iam still struggling to get a decent signal off 0.4w, 0.5w, 4.8 e, 7e, and 9e, 42e i get a much improved signal off 0.8w, 26e, 31e, 33e,36e .i have another dish 1.25 m which i use on the rest but i would like to dispose of that at some point and would like to get the 1.8 performing as well as it should thanks.
Just an update ive put my c12 lnb and the satellites i could not get very well have come in now ive lost some power on the others but i guess the dish needs to bee tweaked with the c120 lnb on
