View Full Version : Anyone access their VU+ from mobile phone?
Just wondering if anyone accesses their vu+ Duo from their mobile phone?
If so how do you do it and what app's do you use?
I would like to set recording timers via my Blackberry and stream the odd program if possible!!
To stream a programme, you'll need to re-stream the channel so that your phone will able to stream it. There's a guide here (http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/showthread.php?525-Simple-streaming-VU-to-PC&p=9070&viewfull=1#post9070)...
As for accessing the webif, you'll need to forward you vu's webif port to your router, and have a dyndns or similar account setup. Then, you can access it from the mobile with the following url:
http://yourserver.dyndns.com/mobile/
This gives you an easier to use web interface on your mobile browser... Here, you can set timers, change channel on the vuo with your mobile etc...
try this ->
Is that for a windows mobile phone? Also, think that's only relevant when the phone is on the wifi...
yes,but works also fine with GSM,3G

Have you tried accessing the url from a pc? If it works on a pc, it should work also on a blackberry...

i have my slingmobile app on my iphone, and control the unit via the web interface
the default port is 80 on the VU+
but can be changed to what ever you want ie; 90, 85 or what ever
on the router, the port number chosen should be the same, and the unit set to a static address
baz
Would also recommend to set the port number to one of the higher ports, something over 1500 at least for security reasons, and also ensure that you enable the authentication.
To change all of these settings, go to the plugins menu, and there should be a "Webinterface" option...
