Using a 3G dongle with the VU+ Duo

Has anybody managed to use a 3G dongle with their vu+, currently tried a O2 huawei E160 but with out success, not sure if its the cause but it has a ping af bout 150ms to the like of google. Has anybody run a vu+ of a dongle and if so what set up did you use? and what is the maximum ping rate allowed for a vu+

been doing a bit of research and it looks like you need pings of below 100ms, somebody on another forum has mentioned using hsdpa+, unfortunately I do not have that available in my area yet, so it looks like no 3g dongle useage for me yet
