Any one know how to change the default ftp user name and password??
Its curently -- user : root password : (blank)
thx
you cant change the name as root is the default administrative name, as for the password you can do that via a telnet session using the passwd command.

Have you read the post?
Not everything can be spoon fed.
If you want to share your box externally, a read up is more than needed if you don't want issues.
Lots of posts on here of good & bad experiences of remote streaming, SEARCH & READ usually helps.
Everyone will have different requirements so hard to answer your question.
