Twin also does not show details on info screen.
However, the driver dates is shown on vfd during startup. Unless you have a Single!
Jeepers, I just checked and I am on kernel version 3.1.1 and 4d version from 28/11/12. Anyone provide information on where and how to upgrade the kernel and the image please?
Sorry also, where do you find the build information?

latest 4D images for the TM-T2 should be downloaded on
http://download.for-better.biz/bbs/list.php?board=tm2toe
latest ViX images on
http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/index.php?dir=TM-2T/
Both will come with latest kernel and drivers.

Thanks guys. Another newbie question. I have been having awful problems with trying to update the latest image on my TM. I have tried the process in the sticky, but it keeps on bringing the 4d screen up and never let's me update. Also, FTP is a complete no no. It won't let me connect to the ip, but I can telnet or ssh Linux terminal in there... Any ideas where I am going wrong?
if memory serves you will first need to update the bootloader in order to move between 4D and ViX ( it's been a while since i last used 4D )/
Which image are you trying to flash?
and have you plugged out any other USB devices?
Turn box off put image on memory stick, plug memory stick into USB on front, with 1 hand start repeatedly pushing standby button on front of box turn box on at rear switch, wait for front of box to say found f/w, then hit ok, image should update.

There has only been one boot loader for 2T and Single.
The receiver will find firmware without button presses. (TM 800 needed standby to be pressed)

I had same problem myself its was only when i repeatedly pushed standby button did i get the image to boot from usb stick ( 4 different times )
Ok, drum roll for another newbie question... Bootloader? Is this put onto the usb along with the image that needs to be updated, or does it have to be ftp'd over to the box first in preparation? Reason I ask, is because I cant ftp to the box... It just will not let me, after scouring though what feels like a million posts, tried everything!
you flash the bootloader in the exact same way as you do a image via USB, you do this separately and before flashing the image not at the same time.

Does it not show a date on the vfd while booting up?
The recent skin changes are probably causing the Driver details not to appear on the info page.

I believe this has been fixed for the next public build but were currently in the middle of testing some very extensive EPG updates so the new build may be a few days more away yet.
I have just tested this now, and yes, it appears to be resolved on tm-twin at least (don't have 2t, but did have the same bug on twin before)...
