can someone please tell me process of setting up WiFi on the duo2 and where to find the ip address or is there a tutorial on duo2 set up got to downloaded channels but no bouquet list thanks in advance
I was wondering that myself about wifi.
Do you need to install drivers from the feeds first to get it to show up?

The drivers for the inbuilt wifi card in the Duo2 are pre-built into the image by default so you dont need to worry about that.

Thanks Phoenix.
I didn't see any mention of wifi setup in any of the menus though. Where are they tucked away? Build 709 BTW.

Yes - but there must be somewhere to set up your ip address, security etc.

update to build 710 for the integrated wifi
[duo2] add rt5572 to be pre-installed required for duo2 WLAN.
I can only get numbers to display when trying to enter the encryption key on build 710.

update to build 710 for the integrated wifi
No need; the embedded WiFi of the DUO2 has been supported by pre-installed drivers from the first released image.
If WiFi doesn't show up, it looks like your box has a fault. You could install OI or VTi to check that.
OI is here:
http://code.vuplus.com:8080/fileDownload.action?basePath=%2Fopt%2Fdownloads%2F 2.1%2Fduo2&fileName=vuplus-image-vuduo2-20130731183407_usb.zip
VTi is here:
http://www.vuplus-support.org/wbb3/index.php?page=DatabaseItem&id=405
You don't need to set up the complete system; just skip the first install wizard, go to network --> device and see if WiFi is there.
If it isn't on all of those images, you can be sure your box has a problem.
Upgraded to 710, wifi now shows up in network.

Yep, embedded WiFi up & running on DUO2 (build 712).
ok thanks for the info been over the network set up like a rash when i got a WiFi bridge connected it showing a full connection in IAN and WLAN however disconnect the bridge it shows the last two connections ip address and name sever as unconfirmed in network test. don,t know what the issue is but it seems mine alone
I've been testing build 720, can confirm same issue. Testing other images now.
Been testing build 720, wifi adapter shows, but will not obtain IP, raising a bug report.
Hi guys.
I had a similar issue.
My problem arose when using the network wizard. It doesn't seem to save all the settings correctly.
I solved it by going into SETUP-NETWORK-DEVICE SETUP-WLAN CONNECTION-ADAPTER SETTINGS. I entered my encryption key on this page and saved the settings. Restarted my box and then tried the network test.
Everything was OK then.
IP and nameserver show up as 'green'
Issue should be fixed in 721.
Work around not working for me, I'll wait for 721 and hope the fix is more than just the work around

721 is availablle now mate. Can't say if it is fixed or not because mine continued to work anyway but I am not using any sort of encryption.
Not for me it isn't

It's ok as I've gone back to Wired. So no big issue.

If you do an online update you'll see 721 to be available.

Sorry on latest 721 still the same as before last two saying unconfirmed
Still not working for me either, I'm also on 721 Router is a NetgearDGN2000 -
Looks like it can see the router and even connect (not 100$ sure on this) however it can't get IP and also nameserver also fails.
I've been a bit busy last few days, is anyone able to do a fresh flash of 722, no backup restore, test wifi with DHCP on and report back please?
flashed 722 DHCP on no restore wifi still failing

Log onto your router config page and see if its been assigned an ip address if it is try changing ch number of wireless on router (test ch's 1, 6 and 11)

I had WiFi working fine but then started getting isues with DCC saying about Error 10037. Have the IP addresses of devices set correctly, tried static and dynamic. Will try again later, might need to reflash it perhaps.
I'm using Bt home hub set at automatic tried 1,6,11 still failing
still don't understand why built in WiFi doesn't work on my set upon vix. so switch to blackhole and it set through the wizard no problem its very hard to know reason why?
mine is the same,
only wep and disabled protection works on mine.
All WPA encryptions do not work :-( and have not since getting box.
My next thing to try is to swap the router at home with a spare I have.
It's a shame because I prefer vix user friendly image, I still use it with the duo. For the duo2 wifi works on the BH image leads me to believe that it a driver issue between vix and my router. Zoro25 please reply if changing your router sets the wifi. Also for security reason I wouldn't use wep or go unencrypted.
Ok got mine working,
Funny thing was I did nothing different, except flash new image without using a backup. But of a pain but not big shakes, I now have WIFI with WPA-2 working on the DUO2 :-)
big thanks zoro25 as you can see by this thread i been trying for months to get wifi working. the only thing i didn't think to try was reinstall the bootloader, the screen went black on me im using a (scart lead) so tried following instructions blind using LCD screed offered a restore OKed it and system came back on used wizard for WiFi and it now works.
Great parma sorry for the delayed response,
Mine is latest build by the way, I think there was an error in earlier builds that doesn't get fixed just by doing normal upgrade.
working fine here on VU+ Duo2 VIX 3.808 WPA2. With the bbox3 BGC only 100 Mb speed 2.4 Ghz.
