i got it from world of sat 3 months ago
:) well that rules a CLONE OUT
If it was powered off mid way through flashing it could have become corrupted, you should only power a receiver down mid flash as a last resort. try leaving it fully powered off and unplugged for half a hour then try flashing the image again.

WhatIf my box is corrupted what do i do Help
Lets just take it one step at a time first. Leave the unit unplugged for a while and go make a cuppa, I fully appreciate you'r frustrated and anxious but this is when silly mistakes tend to happen.
What exactly happened to cause this ?.

think i switched it off as it was flashing by mistake tired
Worst case scenario is that you could have corrupted the boot sector, if this is the case it will need to be j-tagged back to life, hopefully it's not that bad.

J Tagged how and where can this be done
lets not get ahead of our selves yet, as i said let the unit stand a while then try flashing the image again, maybe even try flashing the bootloader just incase.

Thanks by the way Pheonix
if you cant get the receiver to recognize the image from a USB stick, you could try the bootloader. you flash this in the exact same way as you do a image, only it takes seconds to flash rather than minutes ( it is akin to a bios update on a PC ).

Thanks will try that and let you know Thanks
don't mean to interrupt but i had a similar problem once, turned out to be a usb stick.
i tried another usb stick and all went well.
out of curiosity i tried the 'faulty' stick again, and again it failed.
oddly the 'faulty' stick works fine elsewhere, the receiver just didn't like it.

Nothing happening do you have to unzip it

do you have to unzip it
Yes :) and make sure your USB stick is FAT32
Read this if things arn't clear :) (flashing image or bootloader uses the same method)

No current need for a Solo2 bootloader.

I removed the link as we don't want users flashing a Solo bootloader on a Solo2.

Where's the link to the Duo2 bootloader? I can only see a link to released VU bootloaders but could have missed it?
As far as I'm aware VU haven't had to release a Solo2 bootloader as of yet.
here.

That link wasn't in this thread up till now though?
no it was not but a link to vu bootloaders to which the duo2 is there but not the solo2? and why it was removed from downloads was the query and if needed by someone can it be got?

As I said, I removed the direct link to the Solo bootloader so it wouldn't be confused with a Solo2 bootloader.
A link to general VU bootloaders does no harm as it's obvious what boxes there are released VU bootloaders for.
sorry m8 but if someone asks for a solo2 bootloader if needed where should they go:confused:

Maybe VU as I don't think they have released one or the Solo2, why do you need it so bad?
If one has been released, I'm sure someone will jump in & provide a link.
oh i thought it was in downloads and now removed and wondered why:thumbsup:

Guys, there is no bootloader for the Solo2.
There's only the on that has been embedded on the box in the factory.
(New) bootloaders are only released when new functionality is required.
