New here,
just got the above, have got the sat loaded, fitted the hdd cradle inside with a Kingston 128gb ssd hd, the disk had previously been used on windows 8.1, It has been formatted using the Sat box but is not be recognised by the box giving the following message
Missing
No hdd found or hdd not initialised
Have tried formatting/initialising but always get the above message!
So I need help, what am /have I done wrong?

Welcome to the forum.
What is shown onscreen when you press Menu > Information > Devices
Can you also telnet into receiver and issue following command and post back results
df -h

The second one is a telnet command. You need to yuse a program called Putty or enabel teh tlente client on windows.
May be an idea to update to latest 4D image. Most people here use Vix, but use what you are comfortable with.

It is probably not mounted as hdd. Not used the 4D image for a while. You will need to look into what it is mounted as.
The 4D server expired, so you wont be able to download anything through the plugins. I would recommend you flash latest image.

Ok, firstly apologies for delay other stuff to do!
Spent some time with the box today, and have now got to grips with it, no probs with the hdd when the box is properly set up, my mistake originally, thought it was a straight plug n play job, it is but with some peripheral stuff as well.
Now a happy bunny can now use the the pvr facility without probs,
