Fish & chip shop, how do I know if it's Cod, Haddock or Plaice served in batter?
On a serious note, we now the box you're using thanks to your thread title, we don't know the image or build number used though?
Have you tried any image options to format the HDD rather than fdisk?
The more info you provide the better & easier it is to point you towards a working solution.

sorry to jump on somebody's post..thought it was a waste to start another,,,i would like to install an internal 2.5inch hard drive.but cant see where it goes inside.thank you
Remove lid, look in the corner near front panel, you will see a small board with 4 screws holding it in place. Remove screws, lift out, attached HDD, lower into place, slide into connecter and re-screw in place.

1. Can you hear any activity from the HDD during boot up?
2. What is shown in device information?
Menu > Information > Devices
3. Is HDD listed in mount Manager, (even if not mounted)?
Blue > Vix > Mount Manager
4. Can you telnet following command and post back results
df -h

You've posted the wrong screenshot. Please obtain the devices page.
Also, you should right click and save the screenshot instead of posting the screenshot of your PC desktop.

You are not answering the questions.
When connected internally, can you hear the HDD spin up when you switch the receiver on?
@abu baniaz

i cant connect internal hdd
Why not? Have you reseated the cables? Checked the drive works elsewhere? You're really not helping anyone trying to help you here with such brief & non detailed answers.

i cant connect internal hdd
One of your pictures shows it connected.
You started this thread a long time ago. If there is a fault with your receiver, it would be a good idea to confirm the fault and get it repaired while still under guarantee. Questions were asked to help you.
If the HDD fine when in the USB caddy and connected to receiver, there is likely a fault with your receiver? Best you contact the retailer.
With the Mutant's unique and none standard method of connecting the Hard Drive, if you do not fit the Hard Drive correctly in the mounting caddy you can get a bad connection
I found that the best way was to loosely fasten the Drive to the caddy so that it can be adjusted, and finally fastened tightly when it is properly mounted and plugged in to its mount that is soldered to the motherboard I hope that this makes sense
one other point, I can imagine someone with a heavy hand breaking the soldered mount that connects it to the motherboard
Sorry to come in here late in the day, but I got a mut@nt box today and have a 2.5 hard drive. It's a WD 1600BEVS Scorpio. Is it just me or does this drive not fit *smh*
