View Full Version : vix image
why in the vix image have u to alter the tv set every time u put a new image on left right up and down very strange
It's because your TV has a feature called overscan active, meaning that every pixel on the screen is being stretched and you are loosing upto 4 or 5 inches of viewable tv screen. Google your tv's make and model with the term overscan for instructions on how to turn this off.

It isnt a true representation of the original image, you should always strive to map 1:1 to get the best image especially with interlaced content, obviously if you are upscaling SD it doesnt really matter as much, but it will still put less strain on your tv leaving it free to do all other wonderful stuff like BFI.
For a quick and easy follow explanation of what overscan is and how it affects your TV have a read of this article.
