View Full Version : Logitech Harmony 650 remote works great with the ET9000
As the title, purchased a Logitech Harmony 650, works spot on with the ET9000, even long coloured button press's work as they should.
i can second this, great little remote, although i little bottom heavy.
Hi,just to say its work perfectly on the Harmony One too....
Did anyone need to reprogram many of the buttons, such as the arrow buttons?
I found that it needed a lot of tweaking after entering the ET9000 from the database
Hi there ...
with my Harmony 555 it works without problems ...
CU No.Trace !!!
I can confirm it works out of the box on a Harmony 700.
For some reason though it has problems on the Harmony 900, which require a lot of manual IR teaching
Absolutely! Moreover it seems to have a better performance as the original remote.
The 900 remote does need programming abit but its not too much of an issue

Sorry to drag this post up from the past, but thought it would be better than starting another one.
I have just got my Harmony 650, and it works great with my ET9200. I only had to make a few tweaks to be 100% happy.
One mod I'd suggest for everyone is to assign the up/down button to 2 and 8 so that in CrossEPG you can use the up/down to page up and down which is a bit more intuitive for my other half and visitors. (nb. you may want to set this up in the 'customise buttons' under the 'activities' section if using 'watch TV', otherwise it'll only work when the stb is actually chosen from the devices menu).
Hope that makes sense, and if anyone else has any configuration tips for making the use friendlier please let me know.
All the Harmony remotes should work great as they are learning remotes e.g. even if the codes werent available you can learn the codes off the original remote.

LOL, "working great" is not only about knowing commands.
e.g. the One has no coloured buttons (they being on the LCD is by far no alternative);
the 1100 has hardly any hard-buttons at all (meaning you have to browse the screen all the time) and hold it with two hands.

Those points could be said for any piece of equipment.

Nope: none of the Harmony's 525, 555, 600, 650, 700, 900 and several older models have those drawbacks.
Just my thoughts i use the phillips pronto for mine same shape as the 1100 but far better well in my opinion, for me the best thing is i dont need my glasses to find the buttons as you make them as big as you like. and thats the bigest downfall with the smaller remotes lol
