View Full Version : nas mount on PLi image
Hi All,
I am using my VU DUO with an LG N2r1 NAS on the PLi image. The paths to my CIFS shares are in /etc/fstab. Everytime i reboot the vu duo the shares aren't automatically mounted and I have to putty in and run a mount -a. Anyone got a workaround for this?
Can you post a screenshot of your mount settings please
do u mean a copy of the fstab or something else?
Are you using mount manager from plugins menu? I'm assuming your using openpli?
With OpenPLi i've never used fstab to setup networks mounts. Use the network mount manager in plugins. See my settings in the attached screenshot. Username is a username set on nas drive or pc.
Can youy nas drive have set user accounts?

fstab doesnt work with PLi. Just use mount manager and mount CIFS share. I managed to mount my Synology NAS.

Thanks OldSkul i'll give that a go
You'll be able to install via plugins menu.
I believe its under system plugins.
Tried the mount manager and it said it sucessfully mounted the share but I cant see it anywhere in the directory structure. The share is called videos. Where would it be in the directory structure?
Use filebrowser to navigate to the mnt. Off the top of my head its /mnt/net/yourshare (directory name on the nas, the server share name)
SIC,
u are the man - all of the shares showed up where u mentioned, in media player and survive a reboot!top stuff!
Fantastic, glad its sorted for you :)
