View Full Version : ADSL Router
Finally given up on the pile of crap that is the thomson 587, totally useless loses PF after a reboot. Looking for a router sub £50 as much bell and whistles as the budget will stretch to.:)
I would go for Belkin or Netgear Wireless N router. Fleabay is flooded with them I personally dont see the point of paying more than £25.

@ stanman
i've got a netgear DG834GT with updated firmware they're only G protocol but they work fine and very stable i cant tell the difference between my Draytek N or my Belkin N.
pay the postage and you can have it for free.
ps. it's one from you know who ;)

No problem mate, I can do that, PM me with your PP account and will sort the money out.
Any one have any recommendations for a decent router?
check out the belkin surf routers, TP-Link TL-WR1043ND and the Belkin F5D8635UK4A N+ ADSL Modem Wireless Router they seem like good ADSL routers around £50

if i were you get seprate modem/ router. Im with BE and setup their thompson router to bridge only so i can use my DDWRT DLINK DIR-615 which costs around 10 pound on ebay but once you have flashed it with DDWRT it becomes a whole new beast. check out pics

I've moved on since this mate and hopefully getting Fibre on Thursday.
I have to say the Sagem ex sky is a rock solid router, my new ISP one was absolutely shite and this one 10000% better
