Hi, recently upgraded to Zeus and have applied all the latest updates, however whenever I try and access any recordings, the box crashes and reboots. Can anyone advise me what might be causing the problem?

Crash Log attached if you could take a look, it would be appreciated.

Cheers

Same here. But I can't send a log file because when I fill out my email and user name it crashes again when I hit save?

It seems to be once I have been accessing recordings from a NAS drive - If I try to go up a directory from the NAS box, thats when it crashes. If I do a restore from the other night it works again.

I have all the log files appearing in the box but they're not in the log file within the FTP?
i.e. HDD>logs, is there anywhere else i should be looking?
Would like to get this sorted as I cannot watch any recordings, thanks v. much!

Can anyone look at the log file and advise me what to do? doesn't make much sense to me! I have tried reflashing to no avail but wondered is I should start from the very beginning and factory reset, then bootload flash etc, Wondered if the pathway to the HDD is corrupted or something, had a USB drive last week and it was the same, that is why I upgraded to the 1TB internal drive but the same problem persists!
Your help would be appreciated.

In regards to Jonathon's post, the box is trying to read from /media/autofs, and there is nothing there, so keeps crashing... I had this one before. Dunno how the box got to it?!

To resolve, init 4, edit the /etc/enigma2/settings file and edit the movie location folder back from /media/autos/ to /media/hdd/movie/, then init 3...

As for untitled, that's an Andy job :p

Thanks for looking into it, I did try reflashing without restore and it would crash on screen set up, couldn't get past that part without it crashing every time?
I will perform factory reset and start at the beginning. Hope the box isn't faulty as its only a week old, I assume having a different image on it does not void the warranty? Obviously Vix would be wiped before sending back anyway.

Zues build 016 actually, then I think I noticed the unstable red icon on the download page later on? maybe thats why it was crashing on set up, do you think its ok now?

cool, lastly should I initialise the HDD, I would preferably like to keep the recordings I have done but if I have to then obviously I will, and if so should I initialise it before or after the flash?

Flash as Rob has said and see if that fixes things - do not initialise at this point otherwise you will lose all recordings.

Thank you all, ill do it tonight and report back, if this fails i guess i have no choice but to factory reset?.

Flashing the image without restoring your settings is better then factory reset.

Once you have flashed a non OEM image any new flash is a reversion to virgin state but this NEVER destroys your recordings unless you initialise your HDD.

Ok got it, thanks. earlier I was advised to reflash to version 017, can only see 016 in the download page, do I flash this then update software within box to get 017?
