After fresh flash and installation, box runs fine except:

When trying to start "Satmeter" the box crashes and restarts.

Any idea?

What software are you using on the box? Vix. Black hole?

Please upload the complete crashlog as attachment.
Does this crash happen every time, or only once?

Just tried and happened again. This time it crashed when I selected "manual scan" for services.

And, btw, this happened before so that's the reason I did a fresh flash.

@Abu baniaz: Yes, I use my own satellites.xml (rename to *.xml...). Also attached.

There is no way (or time?) to select a tuner.
If I go System->search channels->click manual search (or Satmeter) it just crashes immediately.

I don't use terrestial and that xml is just empty. Only using sat + cable

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<locations>
</locations>

The default file is not empty. Please replace it with the default one, or delete it the file. Then try again.

What is this?

Code:
<sat name="SAT 777.7E" flags="0" position="7777">

Ok, deleted terrestrial.xml, restarted box but no difference: immediate crash with same error file (something on "terrestrial" and "list index out of range"....

That's a satellite far, far away to the east.....:D

Serious now:

Looking at it, it contains cable frequencies...
That's part of a satellite.xml I found in the box after doing a blindscan after flashing...
Replaced it afterwards with my own satellites.xml and channellists but uploaded the wrong file here.

He didn't say delete it. He said replace it with the proper one.

Latest info:

Yesterday:
Again did a new flash after removing all backups from the HDD.
After initial install I only uploaded my channels/bouquets from my PC (Dreambox edit) like I do for years now.
Result: crash with same error about some "terrestrial"........:confused:

Today:
Again a fresh flash. This time I did NOT upload any services etc. but did a complete new channel blindscan on my four sats.
Result: no more crash....
After that (in Dreambox edit) I imported my favourites/bouquets one by one from an older backup on my PC.
Result: no more crash either....:D

I don't understand what happened. I don't see any irregularities in satellites.xml etc.
BTW: I'm using that empty terrestrial.xml for years now and never had problems with it.
Only I could think of is maybe the lame.db was corrupted?

Anyway, the box is running ok now. So thanks everybody for helping out.

I already deleted any "old" settings/channels/favourites from my PC....:o

... no windows "file history" backups?

... no windows "file history" backups?

Not that I know of.

But I did some more testing and indeed it seems to be the terrestrial.xml file.

Apparantly the box doesn't like empty files anymore. After deleting all entries in it, it crashed.
Putting just one service in it and ............up and running fine.
Maybe some division by zero somewhere?

Anyway, I won't change it to be empty anymore ........:)

Thanks everybody for helping to solve this!
