Evening all
Attempting to connect to Mut@nt 2400 using FileZilla
I know my I.P. address however don't know what to put as "username" "root" & "port"
Do I need all of these things?
Is there a default password for the Mut@nt?

Any help appreciated.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but try Name - root and Password - dreambox

Thanks Cosmic but I've tried that from Punishers' guide

Sorry I couldn't be of more help mate. I knew feck all about stuff like this, I just looked at my laptop, which connected to my Mut@nd 2400 HD, and that's what the Name and password were on the Dreambox Control Centre.

If it's not that, and it's Dreambox Edit you're using, let me know, and I'll have a look at that.

In ViX the default FTP login details are root (username) and the password is left blank, although some FTP clients require a password in this case any thing will work until you setup one for your self. Default FTP port is always 21.

Thanks Phoenix but still no joy...
I'm getting "Status: Connection attempt failed with "EACCES - Permission denied".
Error: Could not connect to server"

And with FlashFXP I get:

FlashFXP 5.0.0 (build 3805)
Support Forums http://www.flashfxp.com/forum/

[22:19:52] Winsock 2.2 -- OpenSSL 1.0.2 22 Jan 2015
[22:21:57] [R] Connecting to 198.168.0.18 -> IP=xxx.xxx.x.xx PORT=21
[22:21:57] [R] Connection failed (error: 10013 An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.
)
[22:21:57] [R] Delaying for 10 seconds before reconnect attempt #1
[22:22:07] [R] Attempting to Reconnect.
[22:22:29] [R] Connection cancelled

Its a problem with your firewall, beware you may be running more than one.

Try DCC (Dreambox Control Centre), a lot better than firezilla n flashfxp imo.

Thanks Andy It sems user friendly however I'm still getting this
"[06:27:37] [R] Connection failed (error: 10013 An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions."

That's strange buddy. I have a Mut@nt also and always use DCC with no issues. You haven't changed any settings that you know of have ya?

I've also changed quite a few network setting as I've been banging my head on the wall for a couple of days now! :-)

Pretty sute my I.P. address etc. Is still correct though

In DCC when you scan/search for your Mut@nt do you see it and does the IP address match and you save it? Do you get the error when you click on the FTP box?
