After a power cut the box seems to power up and leave itself switched on, therefore also switching on the TV. Is there a way to get the box to remember it's last state on power up (ie if it is in standby mode, power up into standby mode). The problem is that is if there is a power cut in the middle of the night, the box turns on and also turns the TV on too and it is very alarming to be woke up hearing voices. Not to mention maybe leaving the TV on for hours if no-one is around during the day!

"startuptostandby" plugin on the OpenViX feeds

menu/plugins/
Press green to download plugins

Then scroll down to extensions (press OK to select)
Then scroll down to startuptostandby (press OK to select) ( NOTE NOT the source code startuptostandby-src)

It will take 15/30 seconds to install

Then menu/plugins/startuptostandby and enable = enable.

To test first put you box into deep standby (hold down the on/off button on the remote and select deep standby from the options displayed). Turn off at the mains, wait 30 to 60 seconds for internal voltages to discharge, and turn the mains back on. Deep standby is the controlled way of turning your box off.

Installed the plugin, but doesn't seem to do anything

Hmmmm.....Yet OpenATV has the what to do after a power failure section in options, and has for a veryyyy longgggg time.
.....probably because vix uses lucas electrics and atv (okay...openatv) uses bosch. kidding of course. kinda'-sorta'.

I assume you have tv hooked up to box with remote on/ off as forgot what it was called?

Power off and on i have to go around all boxes to standby again and also power off a sauna.

Did you do the last step? menu/plugins/startuptostandby and enable = enable.

The box does a full boot-up and then immediately goes into standby. During boot-up the splash screens are output as video. I assume that you only put your TV in standby and as a result it powers up when the box outputs video.

If the box immediately goes into standby there will be no audio or video output from the box so what is your TV doing? Having been woken up and having the box's video and audio removed does it default to something like live TV from its own tuners?

Does menu/setup/HDMI-CEC/Put TV into standby make any difference to the behaviour.

I have all my TV equipment except the Engima 2 PVR turned off at the mains when not in use. I have the equipment on a smart plug controlled by Alexa. The smart plug defaults to off after a power cut.

Possibly not much help with waking your TV but its possible to use Power timers to put an unattended box back into standby after, say, X hours so it doesn't remain on forever after a power cut
