    Network Share help needed

    Hi all,

Magnificent VIX 6.6.002, will donate again soon.

For nearly a year we have a VU+ DUO4 as media network recorder / server beside our Edision 4K+ where we use the Edision as preferred source because it can access the SAT we need whilst the VU+ can't.

Ok; Later having worked through these screen(s) I edited the auto.network (see #'s below)and the feature has resumed, we can now go:

Files-->Location(yellow btn)-->VUDUO--> media content on the hdd of the server, instead of having to scroll down to the 'movie' directory-->and press'ok'.

So far so good, couple of cold restarts and moved back to static IP too.

Have made a backup of both .gz configs....

    auto.network

    # automounter configuration
    # VUDUO -fstype=nfs,rw,nolock,tcp,nfsvers=3,rsize=8192,wsiz e=8192,timeo=14,soft 10.10.7.159:/media/hdd
    VUDUO -fstype=nfs,rw,nolock,tcp,nfsvers=3,rsize=8192,wsiz e=8192,timeo=14,soft 10.10.7.159:/media/hdd/movie
    # VUDUO -fstype=nfs,rw,nolock,tcp,nfsvers=3,rsize=8192,wsiz e=8192,timeo=14,soft 10.10.7.159:/media/autofs/VUDUO/movie
    # VUDUO -fstype=nfs,rw,nolock,tcp,nfsvers=3,rsize=8192,wsiz e=8192,timeo=14,soft 10.10.7.159:/media/hdd/VUDUO/movie
    # VUDUO -fstype=nfs,rw,nolock,tcp,nfsvers=3,rsize=8192,wsiz e=8192,timeo=14,soft 10.10.7.159:/media/hdd/VUDUO/movie/
    # VUDUO -fstype=nfs,rw,nolock,tcp,nfsvers=3,rsize=8192,wsiz e=8192,timeo=14,soft 10.10.7.159:/media/hdd/VUDUO/
    # VUDUO -fstype=nfs,rw,nolock,tcp,nfsvers=3,rsize=8192,wsiz e=8192,timeo=14,soft 10.10.7.159:/media/hdd/VUDUO

Network share help needed - solved.

None now thanks, when I was preparing some screens and info from the Edision I noticed the auto.network and the problem of not being able to connect directly to a server share in three actions(Media-->Locations-->select Net share) is now solved (or so it seems after three cold starts of the whole ht).

When I remarked (#) out the other lines in auto.network and rebooted:

    Leaving just this one:
    VUDUO -fstype=nfs,rw,nolock,tcp,nfsvers=3,rsize=8192,wsiz e=8192,timeo=14,soft 10.10.7.159:/media/hdd/movie

    Just fixed donation from oz
