I flashed my Ultimo to 4.2.001 on Monday (15th of August), no settings restore (although it DID ask if I want to restore).
Downloaded the oscam-latest plugin and copied the contets of /etc/tuxbox/config and favorites bouquet, autotimer.xml and timers.xml from /etc/enigma2 from the latest backup copy back to the receiver, set the rest of the settings through the menus.
The box worked beautifully the rest of Monday and Tuesday, and part of this evening, but then it refused to wake up from standby. It didn't react to the remote control power switch OR the front panel power switch. OpenWebif didn't answer to the browser on the computer, either.
I managed to telnet in to reboot (but even this way it took unusually long before the box reacted to the reboot command).
At the end of boot, the the VIX logo just kept on spinning with the boot picture on the screen forever.
I reflashed the 4.2.001 image, but again it never finished booting.
Finally I flashed back to 4.1.016 and got it working again. I guess I'll stick with it until the next update release.

after the spinning logo on reboot, try init 4, wait 90 secs and then enigma2 via telnet so that you can provide the log
