Hello everyone I currently have a duo in my living room with a magic eye set up in the bedroom. I am looking at getting a new receiver for the living room then move the duo into the bedroom to allow indapendent viewing between the two rooms.
What receiver would everyone recommend that would let me record up to 3 channels whilst watching a 4th. I know the duo 2 would do this but it is still a bit expensive for me is there something a bit cheaper that will do the job.

A Vu+ Ultimo would do that very easily if you had a Dual tuner and two single tuners inserted. and you should be able to get hold of them fairly cheaply now adays as they have been discontinued by Vu+, so look for second hand units.

Also look at the Gigablue Quad / Gigablue Quad plus or the Golden interstar LX3

Thanks for the reply I have looked at the ultimo the tuners have lmb in and the other is out, what is the out used for?

It's a feature called loopthrough or loopout. It's a handy feature that allows you to loop the signal from that tuner to another or even to another receiver all together, but it's not a replacement for a dedicated feed going to each tuner / receiver.
