[VU+ Solo2] cannot FTP to box...

so just installed latest vix image, and i can't ftp to my box for some reason?
this is what i see in the FTP program:


not sure what im doing wrong? network test all checks out fine.
it says it connects but then doesnt go the next step and load up all the folders that im used to seeing!

clearly missing something....

Have you checked FTP is actually running on your box? It SHOULD start by default, but oddly enough doesn't on my inlaws GB Quad Plus with OpenVix 024.

MENU > Setup > System > Network > FTP Setup will confirm either way.

Also when you're sure FTP is running, you need to login with the username of root and use no password, not use 'anonymous' in your FTP client software.

Ooh, actually just spotted the "Welcome to OpenVIX...." In your screenshot so it seems vsftpd is awake. Hmmm... Curious.

I can access webif via specifying a port and typing in the correct password and connect to the box that way with no problem at all. Cannot understand why i can't ftp. Will try a different client...

EDIT Sorted...............wrong port. Doh!
