DLNA and avi files

Having a few issues playing some of my avi files via dlna plugin - mp4, wmv, x264 and some avi fine. Is there a codec pack or altrnative media player I can install?

There are no software codecs available for use in STB's, this is handled by a combination of hardware and drivers, AVI's are not a format in them selves they are a container and as such can be encoded very differently depending on the source, you may have to re-encode the problem files so that they play properly on the receiver. Try using a program called handbreak for this.
