[GiGaBlue HD800UE] Freezing everytime once added usb stick

After updating to apollo from the old openvix 3.0, Gigablue 800UE by means of complete re-flash I have been having issues with mu usb storage stick, that was working fine previously, and also tried another known good working usb storage stick, but still getting freezing after putting the box into deep standby, then pulling the plug, before inserting the usb stick, then plugging back in to boot up.
This is where it will freeze just after saying loading, sometimes the loading screen is normal in colour etc, but can also be blurred and faded colours.
If I shutdown and remove the usb stick, it will boot up fine to a channel.
I have a usb wifi stick in the front panel as always, and guess this is not causing any issue? Ferguson w02 using driver rt3070 off the feeds.

Try again on the next available build, lots of changes with the drivers by GigaBlue, but no mention of this issue...

Can anyone tell me how to check which bootloader I need, as its been sometime since I re-flashed, and since I am having boot trouble I wonder if the right one is loaded. We have option of 08/08/12 or 31/08/12. As I bought the box used, I am unsure which to use. Thanks

If using ViX, always use the newest one on http://openvix.co.uk
