[GiGaBlue HD800SE] Gigablue HD800SE loops on reboot after installing OpenVIX build higher than 743

Hi,

I have tried to upgrade my HD800SE many times recently but it loops every time on reboot.
The last build that seems to work fine on it is 743 but it has been removed from the site.

Can someone please help me solve this issue?
I need either to solve the loop problem or to find build 743.

I installed 778 again but no improvement. It loops at the OpenVIX screen and the logo keeps rotating endlessly.
The screen periodically goes black, as if it is going to tune in on a channel, but then it returns again to the OpenVIX loading screen.
And I have tried various builds higher than 743.

A couple of weeks ago when I again tried to upgrade my receiver, I reverted back to 743 in order to have a working receiver. But now I cannot find build 743.
It has been removed from the site.
 
Format your pen drive with hp format tool (search forum) and try it again.

Flash with latest bootloader then format pen drive then flash box with latest image.

Just incase remeber to press ok button on receiver when conf appears

I updated again bootloader, installed 768 again but no result.

I installed an old version (26x) and it worked fine.
I then tried to update it through telnet.
The upgrade completed successfully but obviously 778 was again installed as the loop came back again.

I now installed OpenMIPS and it works perfectly.

But it's crazy that VIX image suddenly causes such an issue.
Moreover, I do not understand why they removed build 743 from the site.

Any other suggestion to install VIX again would be highly appreciated.

you can not use the online update or telnet update options if your using a image prior to build 760, this is also part of the reason why we removed all earlier builds and partly due to the ever increasing space these images were taking up on the server.

Try build 760 see if that one boots up.
 
Thanks, I installed again 760 but the same loo; it is so frustrating.
I spent more than four hours on this issue today.

Openmips and VIX 2xx work fine.

Can I somehow find build 743?
 
My receiver is with the single-tuner; I do not have the DVB tuner for terrestrial transmissions installed, only for SAT.
I do not know whether this could be a cause for the loop upon reboot.

if there is a burn file in your flash please remove it
 
Hope you dont mind me asking it is the gigablue hd 800 se youve got and not a gigablue+ hd 800se??

I had the same problem.. Turned out that the receiver would not boot if connected to TV by SCART connector. Changed to a TV capable of HDMI and when connected to that it booted ok.:eek:

Thanks for that report, I'll check tomorrow.

Out of interest, once booted can you connect back to scart TV and reboot?
 
If connected back to SCART it will NOT boot...

(Actually not booting is wrong wording, it is booting but enigma will not start...)

I've just found this issue on my TV, which is connected via scart.. i have taken the latest OpenVix build and am now struggling to work out which 3.0 build to apply. any suggestions on the build that allows Scart connection?
