Hi,
Even with tuner A disabled in software, simply having a tuner module physically inserted in slot A causes tuner B to stop working. Removing the module from slot A restores full functionality. This confirms a hardware defect of slot A causing electrical interference.
I am writing to report a confirmed and reproducible hardware fault related to Tuner Slot A on my Vu+ receiver and to ask for guidance regarding repair or RMA, preferably handled within the UK.
After extensive and systematic testing, I can confirm that Tuner Slot A is hardware defective and causes severe reception issues, independent of software, configuration, tuner module, or LNB.
Thank you very much for your time and support.
Kind regards,

I am writing to report a confirmed and reproducible hardware fault related to Tuner Slot A on my Vu+ receiver and to ask for guidance regarding repair or RMA, preferably handled within the UK.
After extensive and systematic testing, I can confirm that Tuner Slot A is hardware defective and causes severe reception issues, independent of software, configuration, tuner module, or LNB.
Summary of the issue:
- With any DVB-S2X FBC tuner module installed in Slot A, reception is limited only to lower frequencies (low band).
- The upper frequency band is not received at all.
- The issue occurs with:
- different tuner modules,
- different LNBs (Universal and SCR/Unicable),
- factory reset and fresh image installation.
- When a tuner module is physically present in Slot A, Tuner Slot B stops working, even if Slot A is disabled in software.
- Removing the tuner module from Slot A restores full and stable operation on Slot B.
Tests performed:
- Two different DVB-S2X FBC tuner modules tested
- Universal LNB verified on another receiver (full reception confirmed)
- Factory reset and fresh OpenPLi installation
- Independent testing of Slot A and Slot B
- The issue is fully reproducible
Conclusion:
This behavior confirms a hardware fault of Tuner Slot A, most likely related to the RF path or band switching circuitry, which also electrically interferes with Slot B.Current workaround:
- Slot A must be left physically empty
- Only Slot B can be used reliably
- repair,
- replacement,
- or RMA procedure?
