HDD help

Hi all ok so I have a duo with a 500gb internal drive all set up fine and working. Running vix, I also have a toshiba 500gb USB powered drive with my movies on, so here the problem I can not get the box to pick up the drive, unless I inintiualize the drive, but this formats the drive! How do I set it up to just plug and play? All the movies are mp4 format

Which build of ViX are you using? also, what format is the HDD in?

Think it's version 3.0. Think it's fat32? All sent from PC running windows 8.1

It's a lot easier for you to check than have everyone guess...
You could try some drivers from the plugin feeds, but impossible to tell which so far.

here the information I have. not sure which driver to download as I cant match the chipset to the driver info. my portable hdd is ntfs format. anyone know how to sort this?
