[GiGaBlue QUAD+ PLUS] HELP! can't get FTP to connect to Gigablue Quad Plus

Hi,

I received my box today with the laster Vix Image pre installed. I have used Cyberduck to try and connect to the box but no joy just keeps saying no connection.

I am using the boxes ip address 192.168.1.4 username root and password i have left blank... any help/suggestions?

I have port 21 open (default)

The box is telling me i'm connected to the internet (LAN) but I can't seem to connect using FTP I keep getting the massage...

Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".

Do I need to re flash the image?

Also just noticed on the Gigablue box inFTP Setup it has Stopped as its current status! how do i change this?

I'm using total commander with FTP plugin installed with my Quad and no problems at all.

I'm using ROOT and DREAMBOX as password.

Can you ping the Gigablue Quad Plus?
If you're using Windows, open a cmd window (windows key + r, then "cmd" and enter) and type:

ping 192.168.1.4

you should see this output:

C:\Users\fred>ping 192.168.1.4

Pinging 192.168.1.4 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.1.4: bytes=32 time=5ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.1.4 bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=64

Please paste the result of your ping here.
If ping does not work, then there's a problem with your network

Thank you for all your help/suggestions but it came down to a bad Image flash! reflashed the box and now everything seems to be working great. maybe a slightly stupid question to ask but how do I know if i'm using a HD image or a normal sd image?

They are now one and the same. You can now use a 1080 skin if you wish.

Hi Tkr001,

Thank you I've downloaded the ones available in the plugins menu but really wanted one with more of a Sly feel like the Fraggle121 but its not in there!

Also I'm having a nightmare trying to get my twin tuner sorted. I can't seem to be able to watch one programme and record another!! If you can help me with this I will be eternally grateful.

Look for the blue HD skin. That's what your after.
I'm using Mgcamd and had no problems with tuners, have you setup each tuner?

Thanks mate i'll try that one out and see how it looks.
I'm using CCCam 2.3.0 and I've set tuners up as tuner A 28.2E & Astra 2A then I have tuner B set as Equal to tuner A. is that correct?

Should be, but you could also try setting it to Astra 28.2 as we'll.
does your provider support 2 lines to the same ip?
Maybe try mgcamd?
