How to create a folder

I.m having bother with my hard drive. I keep getting disc read error disc full. I've refreshed the box a few times. Oh I'm on 3.0 808. I think the problem is I'm missing the movie folder. I have media/hdd but no movie. What I do have is lost+found, timeshift, crossepg.

Post a screenshot of your mounts page. Is the HDD showing as R/W
(I know you did the df-h one a few days back.)

Blue > Vix > Mount Manager

When did you last flash the receiver without a restore?

If you initialize the hdd in the box, the image will create the required folders.

I did initialize the hdd but it's still the same. I did it after getting the disc full error message

What plugins have you installed?
Is TSPanel one of them?
On a fresh flash, if you initialize the hdd, all should work as expected.

I don't have tspanel. I even flashed blackhole earlier to initialize the hdd then flashed back to vix. Still the same.

Have you got another HDD you can try? Or maybe even a 16GB or larger flash drive? (Disconnect the HDD). It is strange for your movie/folder to go walkies as well as have issues with saving epg. I suspect HDD failure.

It was thinking that abu. The only thing I have at the minute is at external hdd so I guess that's my only option until I source another hdd

No need to flash BH just to initialize the hdd, if you want to use ViX, just initialize it with that (although results should be the same).
As Abu says, sounds more like a HDD failure at this stage.

Personally, I'd fresh flash, initialize the HDD, reboot.
If that doesn't work, replace the HDD & do the same.

The movie folder doesn't exist, does exist but has the wrong permissions, the external HDD doesn't wake up on time...

Does the filesystem check perform a hardware test of the HDD? If so, you get a definite answer.

If you have a network share, (NAS or shared drive on PC) you can use that as a recording medium until you get another HDD.

I'd initialize it first using the image.
If that still fails, maybe time for a new HDD.
