Hi
I've flashed to the new VIX 2.0 and unsure how & where to install CCcam.

I've located and downloaded and now have the folder CCcam_2.2.1 on my pc hard drive.

I'm set up with DCC and am now ready to FTP....but into which directory should I do this?

And then on which VIX menu will i find the install command?

Any pointers welcome.

Many thanks, but what do I FTP?

I have a folder named usr, and in it are folders bin, script, and uninstall. These came from a zip file which I recall mentioned tar.gz

I also have a folder from another source which has about 8 cccam files, the largest of which is a "mipsel" type.

Sorry if dumb questions, I have been reading up but have not grasped these basics.

Fully read the post in the link posted above.

In view of the ViX Team decision heres an offsite link to softcams for the ViX Team images.

To install simply FTP to /tmp, then install using the IPK installer in the VIX Menu under blue button.

You FTP the ipk to /tmp, then use the IPK installer in the VIX Menu to install.

You need this file from the VIX cam folder

Code:
enigma2-plugin-cams-cccam.2.2.1_1.0-r0_mipsel

Hi -thanks for your help, I've now grasped it and no problems.

Cheers again

Help

Im just at this point but the answers don't help please how do I get this ccaminstalled

as above, ftp the file into the temp folder
then go blue button
select the VIX option
then select the install local option
you should then see the file, press the green button
it wil then install/reboot
job done
yoy will also need the ccccam.cfg

Hi sorry to hijack thread but i have installed cccam OK onto my Solo and have FTP'd the cfg file into the box but with no success, when i check cccam info i get an error message (error opening webpage). Is it possible the CFG is incorrectly formatted? I am using the latest VIX image
Do i need to FTP the cfg file to the Solo before i install the CCcam which i have sent to the TMP folder on the box? I have been transferring that after the installation of CCcam, could that be my problem?

i cant remember the exact name of it as i'm at work and not near my receiver. but you need to press the blue button then go into the softcam manager and enable it.

Yes have tried that and it shows CCcam as active but cccam info keeps coming up with this "error opening webpage" error

Have you enabled the telnetinfo and webinfo settings in the CFG file?

After reinstalling cccam(2.2.1) a couple of times and getting the same result i decided to try downgrading to an earlier version of cccam(2.1.3) and hey presto the cccam info now connects OK.Thanks for the advice.
