[ET10x00] Image restore of settings/plugins not working correctly

On the ET10000 there are 2 LAN connections (100Mbit and Gbit) - I happen to have a Gbit LAN so connect to the Gbit port.
I also usually do a complete image reflash when going to new version, which works fine on all my Xtrend boxes (including the ET8000) except the ET10000
So what happens on the ET10000 ?

Download new Image version -> hit restore -> Image reboots.
Restore backup? Yes
Restore settings - Yes
Restore plugins -> Yes

Says restoring settings, then unable to restore plugins, NO LAN connection
Reboot, Blue button, restore backup settings and plugins - reboot.
On reboot, no channels/Bouquet - so Blue button, restore settings again.
Reboot - works.

So I guess restore needs to check all LAN ports for connection or after restore settings, restart network before plugins restore.

Unfortunately one can never say which LAN-port gets what number. So this can indeed cause the issues you have experienced.
But good to see you found the work-around for that.

It's a pity because once you get used to reflashing, its by far the easiest and cleanest way of installing the latest version.... But then 3 reboots on the ET10000 isn't that painful

Off topic Twol, does your ET10k have option to switch to HDMI in? Anywhere in menu's or blue button menu?

On remote: HDMI Rx button..... You can also setup in bouquets, works fine for direct viewing.
Haven't tried recording for a while, but could only record pic, no sound but believe some people managed both. The ET10000 is not actually mine, but seems to be on permanent loan, as the owner has moved onto other methods for recording "stuff"
He is a "project guy" .... Once completed, he moves onto a new project.

No - short blue gives me extensions like log mgr,CCcam, vix extensions, long blue plug in's

OK, but never seen it on any image, and this box has been on 3 other non VIX images since being purchased .... And apart from installing support for both german and UK channels, all have been pretty vanilla with no non standard plugins.

OK.... But I am interested (& curious) as we have new lounge units installed tomorrow, which means that all the gear disappears behind closed doors (which my wife loves), so will be controlling the ET10000 by IP commands only from an Ipad.
