Hi all,
Any Irish users, can you recommended a USB terrestrial stick that will work with VIX2.0.2, and what channels will it pick up?

WinTV Nova-T purchased from Amazon.

RTE 1
RTE 2 HD
TV3
TG4
e3
RTE News Now
RTE 2 SD

Plus 10 RTE radio stations.

Thanks Roger, is RTE2 still the only HD ch, thought RTE 1 & TV3 were also broadcasting in HD now?

Yeah, RTE2 is the only HD channel. There won't be any more HD channels added until RTELN add the second mux.
The RTE2 SD channel is been turned off on the 18th of April, which will free up a spot for another channel.

Using Sundtek for a good while now, no problem whatsoever. Was the only one available working on VIX last year. I would get a Nova-t now, much cheaper if you don't care about DVB-C.

Same as - I have sundtek as had it for last few months and works a treat but there are cheaper options such as nova t working just as good now with vix 2.0
Orderered a nova t yesterday myself as well for solom

and bear in mind that all the content on RTE2 HD is up-scaled (badly it would seem) and actually looks pretty awful on a big TV

Folks. having trouble with my Vu+ Duo and VIX 2.1.4 getting a WinTV Ministick up and running.
Installed the plugin (seemed to install OK - listed in the dvb plugins). Rebooted (a couple of times.)

dmseg and lsusb output the following ...
: usb 2-1: new high speed USB device using brcm-ehci-1 and address 2
: usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
and
: Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
: Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
: Bus 002 Device 002: ID 2040:c000 Hauppauge
: Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
: Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

I tried other USB ports too but no Tuner C!

Any suggestions or knowledgeable debug approaches? Many thanks in advance!

Infind rebooting by switching off duo with switch at back of unit usually does the trick. Worth a try. Do not forget to set tuner to europe when you get to see Tuner C.

Got Nova TD (twin tuner dtt) delivered today from Amazon, circa €60. installed on latest version of Vix, and downloaded Nova t plugin from plugin menu under dvb. Now have 2 DTT tuners, C and D. all working fine. Roll on channels appearing on Mux 2 (Ireland).

For anyone with a Nova T tuner already installed. You do not need new firmware. Just change Nova t for Nova TD, Rebout Duo and set tuner D to europe DTT and your good to go.

Good to know that VIX supports the dual DVB-T - I for one am looking forward to getting this USB stick.

Thanks

Infacta, no joy with that. Any particular USB port work better wit deeze tings?
Anyone know if any logs worth lookin at?
The usbtunerhelper process seems to be running. Shud I just go to a Blackhole image or ask the VIX crew to look into it.
