Just noticed that while my mkv files play perfectly image wise, they have no sound on Vix 2.0.3, all updates applied.
My crappy avi files now play better than mkv, even with slight picture jerks.

I have gone through the audio options but can no longer get sound on mkv's, any ideas?

Is the sound on the mkv's dts? The duo can only pass through dts not decode it

As hifial says, if the mkv files have dts sound, they won't play, unless your have your duo connected to an amp that can decode the dts... You will either need to use an amp, or convert the audio in the mkv file...

As for the avi files being jerky, I find that if you convert them to mkv, they work just fine... Takes a bit to convert, and more hassle, but I just wouldn't be able to watch the video in avi so jerky...

If i conncet my et9000 to to my sound system with in built amp, the amp might be able to decode the dts and play the sound?

if so, do it need to be conected via optical or hdmi or can it be connected with analogue?

If this does not work, where can i download a converter from?
