My dad has wrecked his vu duo HELP PLEASE

Hi all - i am a bit of a novice but can normally manage things however my dad has done something with his vu+ and i have no idea how to fix - the box will turn on but cant access any menus or press any buttons - the box loads up then says receiver needs to restart and to send error log to vix is there a way i can factory reset via usb or something - any suggestions would be welcomed - i have removed the hdd and also tried to flash new image and nothing seems to be happening

What happens when you try to flash a new image?

Make sure you have removed all USB sticks

also whats the file structure when u flashing?

i removed all usb and hard drive tried to flash new image but reads usb but when box boots up get 3 seconds of vix screen then black screen with jargon - closed pipes - open webif - etc ??? just says encountered problem and b=needs to shout down restart in 10 seconds then same again on restart -

Please explain file structure -

Are you sure its orginal box?

Thats a bootloop, nothing to worry about.

try formatting the stick with the HP format tool and reflash the receiver.
