network host name change?

hi all
i would like to change the network host name to somthing differant than "vuduo"
i have tried menu>setup>system>Network>mountsetup>mount manager>change hostname
and it wont let me change the name why?
or is there another way to do it?

Hi,
it works on my Duo2. You can change it directly by editing the file /etc/hostname but be aware to use a unix style editor like notepad++

And the box needs to be rebooted before the settings is effective.

Also: in a Windows environment one sometimes has to reboot router and/or PC to see the new name.
