Certainly possible, although I think thats one of robs skins, which he keeps regularly updated.

Magic-HD certainly shows the update-icon neatly.

Using magic night hd not magic hd. Reason I say is after flashing 32 to my solo2 I got the update icon flashing on default skin. When I checked my duo2 which I flashed a day earlier there was no update icon flashing using magic night hd skin. 33 was certainly available....

Yes it does but only if you manually check for a software update, not automatically on my vuduo2 vusolo2 vuduo and vusolo. It would appear I am not alone but maybe not all suffer the same problem. Anyway it's not a biggie for me, I am more than capable of manually looking for updates periodically.

just for info: automatic background-update check apparently still doesn`t work (tested with build 35). :nono:

Box with build 35 was on yesterday evening and shutdown (deepstandby) over night. Start in standby today at 10 clock am. Just now again made ​​a reboot of box, but still no blinking update-symbol although build 36 is available ...

Something must have gone "broke" in the last few builds.

I agree, the update icon is not working here either. On build 35. Rebooted box at 4:30am, been 6 hours and no update icon.

It's now a known issue. See here.

A bug report has been submitted for update notification icon. It is not a skin issue.

Now (with build 40 to build 41) automatic background update check works as it should!!!
