no picture until after restart

so, some channels i can view immediately, others i can leave it on the channel for literally 15 minutes and all i get is a blank screen, however if i restart the box the channel comes to life within 10-15 seconds.

ive already missed some recorded items as the channel was dead when recording started

any ideas

im using vix 3.0

What channels?
Have you a local card?
What cams are you using?

could be any "premium" channel, sometimes a channel will be ok, sometimes i wait (have waited 15 minutes on occasions) and just restart the box for quickness
