[SX88v2] Octagon SX88 V2 - not getting DVB subtitles

I'm using an Octagon SX88 V2 with OpenVix 6.4. I am unable to get DVB subtitles. Text subtitles, when available, work just fine. But most channels offer DVB subtitles and I can't get these. The yellow subtitle button on the remote shows that there are subtitles but pressing "OK" does not cause subtitles to be dispalyed. I don't know whether this is a problem with the receiver or OpenVix or something I've set up incorrectly. I'd be grateful for guidance on how to fix this.

Thanks. That would be kind. I'd be particulalrly interested if you can get DVB subs for ARTE on 19 east. I couldn't. I tried also on 13 east and 5 west to no effect.

ARTE ....... I see German/French/Danish - German doesn't give anything, French works and Danish is French

For me only French DVB subtitles (13fe) and French teletext (888) are working 'In einem fernen Land'. Danish (144e) is German.

Thanks. You've confirmed the subtitles are there and available. I can see DVB 23f and DVB 240 in the menu. But when I press the subtitle button on the remote, nothing comes on. I am guessing that this must be an Octagon issue if you can see the subs and I can't. I wonder if there is someone with an Octagon receiver, preferably an SX 88, who can see these subs?

Thank you. That's very helpful. That suggests to me that the problem is with the Octagon SX88 V2, rather than OpenVix.

Is there anything you suggest I try with the receiver before taking this up with the retailer (WoS)?

Same thing with my octagon sfx6018. Cannot see subtitles on 0.8W Thor (Digi TV).
