Using openwebif in vix 6.2 I am only able to select a channel that is currently tuned and playing on my TV.
In other words if a particular channel in a bouquet is showing on the tv connected to the receiver, selecting it on a pc on my LAN opens it in VLC.
Selecting another channel. Even one on the same transponder. Does nothing.
For comparison using the aforementioned obsolete, dilapidated, and inferior openatv 6.4 and duplicating a channel change. Not only does the channel change but if a channel is chosen on a different satellite, my diseqc mover plants the dish on the correct satellite and the selected channel plays in VLC no problem.
Is there a viable fix?
I was trying to get the native tuner server to play nice to get a remote receiver to receive in client mode. Nope. not happening.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
