Its been a minute since ive been on.... first time ive had problems with a VU but theyre you go.....

Some time ago (months) i did a usual usb flash to update my solo....and that was kinda the start of the end...screen went black never came back up. Tried for an hour or so to get it working and because the room it was in, wasnt being used that much its was kinda one of those "ill get back to that" kind of jobs....fast forward 6 months to today and i pulled it out, took it down to my office/workshop and though "ill see if i can get it working" - and it powered straight up (last vix image installed) so i thought, funny five mins - ill reflash and away we go...not so...rebooted and its the same again. Power up, power light flashes twice and then it dimms..no video. Rear Lan leds are stuck on as well, even with no cable in there.

Went-a-googling and i found a post where it can be recovered possibly with some sort of VU serial connection to reflash it? If i press any key on the remote the power led registers a command has been sent but nothing more than that...

If it is shot is the VU still the reciever to go for - or is there a new kid on the block.?

Thanks to anyone that takes a chip at it.

Edit - oh tried another psu but still the same....

Try an older image. It's possible image is too big to flash by USB, but flashes fine with ofgwrite.
