Just read this topic. I do have PV installed on my ET9K and i only played 1 movie offa my nas which worked perfect, ill do some more testing to see if i get any issues. When i installed PV i did change any settings other than add my nas to it and just do a full scan

Punisher, would be interested to know HOW you got that far. I can only download from plugins and install nd when try to us first time after wizard, get green screen. Have tried chaning skin back to default as when i brought the box it was preloaded with a couple of skin plugins (one hd). Have you got any installed but not active/selected.

Really appreciate it. I can post screen images and crash logs later once we know what "base" system should be... seems to me that some plugin or setting is causing the proble if you got working Can you also check that the plug in you have is the latest available to download from plugins so we are talking about the same release.

Cheers.

You need to remove project valerie completely before you try to re-install. So remove the plugin, reboot the box (not just the gui), then install the pv plugin and reboot the box again. Then all should be ok and PV should appear in the Menu.

Went further than that, reflashed using image backups (& phoenix's help reflashing), so each time box was completely clean on PV, so it isnt PV stopping it installing (ie being corrupt). Get to it being in the menu, but when select it goes into Wizard and then loops thru green screen, with error msg seeming to point to invalid skin paramter being non transparent

Try reflashing without restoring ur settings. So do a new flash and thenjust install PV, nothing else Nd see if it installs and lets u go into it properly as it could be that your backup may contain corrupt PV files/settings that werent totally removed. Again this is only a test as if it doesnt work then u can just reflash and load ur backup settings on there, but as a trial an error do a new flash with no settings restored and inly install PV from feeds and dont do the update in PV. Make sure you do a full vix software updaye though

I have PV r1045 installed on my Et9000 (VIX 2.2.110), and I have watched literally hundreds of media files from an internal hdd with PV in various installed versions on VIX. The r906 version in the feeds is in my opinion a very old, somewhat buggy version that lacks several features so I highly recommend r1045 instead. You can see how to install it on VIX here:
