I am currently using the latest Vix image on my receiver and am having problems when i use the Vu player and dreambox live apps on my iphone externally.

I can connect and view the channel over wireless at my girfriends house, but when i try to change channel sometimes it changes but most times the app stops and i get a message that it coudlnt connect.

When i return home, i discover that the channel is still on my tv direct from the receiver, however the box is froze in that i cant change channel and have to restart the box form the switch at the back.

ive tried various settings from the menu to change zap mode from single, mirror and multi tuner but all seem to have the same result.

I have web if configured on the receiver with a differenent port number and http password etc and have copied these details into the apps. And as i said early, i can connect intially, so im pretty sure its not an issue with the login details, port number etc. I have also opened port 8001 on the routers both at home and at my girfriends house, as i read that this is the port used for streaming.

Any ideas as to why im having these problems? i seem to remember on previous versions of vix that i wasnt having these problems, but obviously i want to stay with the latest version of vix.

And im not suggesting that the problem lies with the latest vix image, but it seems a bit strange that the app is now not working as well as it was

It does seem strange that it all worked fine some months ago. I said on my previous post that i started having problems after updating to the latest vix image, but now thinking back i was having problems on the older version of vix also. Although for a while on that version of vix, things were working perfectly - if you know what i mean!! So i personally dont think its image related....

Any how the settings on the app that i currently have are:

Manual configuration:
Host/IP address - my external ip address
Zap mode - Multituner (although ive also tried it on Mirror and Singletuner, same results)
Render Quality - Middle (have tried low and high)
Web-Interface port - the port number i have configured with the Webif plugin on the duo
Username - root
Password - my webif password
Cache - 2500 (i did not alter this option at all)
