I have replaced the capacitor on the board, but it has not help me with the red light scenario, so without guess whats what, do we have anybody out there that can daignose the problem of these boards, or would it be worth another go, i`m sure ive heard about a front board could also be part of the problem, when i flick the power switch at the back of the box, it does sound like it is trying to start, as i hear the HD firing up, but it just sits with the red light on doing nothing.. any help appreciated...thanks

Would there be anybody out there with a schematic drawing for the vu+ duo, this would be a great help...thanks..

Cheers m8, have been on this site checking it out, but it wont help my issue, a schematic drawing would be good though ??

Hi mate

Have you tryed disconnect the hdd and remove any usb sticks and then boot or maybe even do a fresh flash install see how you get on.

Yes m8 i have, i got a new capacitor fitted a couple of days ago, and the box would still not work, so i was back in looking at the mother board, when i spoted heat damage on the semiconductor next to the newly fitted capacitor, now i dont recall see it that before, so i dont now if the guy damaged it or not when fitting the new capacitor ??? so im thinking in buying a motherboard for it...CHEERS M8

Vu+ dont sell replacement motherboards, even if they did the cost would be as much as a new machine, the only motherboards floating about are either ripped out of old boxes or clones.
