Run a script

Until such time as this is actioned, I have attached a script with symlinks. May be of use.

I am using Mac & have transferred both files to picon folder on my hard drive with filezila but not sure how to execute them there?

They are scripts to run with telnet. Once you are in the picon folder e.g cd /media/usb/picon/

./unifyregions.sh

for the other one

./sattocable.sh

I have my picon on hard drive so when I apply command of cd/media/hdd/picon, I get a permission denied message?

Depends on your FTP client. Normally you right click on the file, it is then file permissions/attributes.

I hope you are not tryng this on a fat32 device.

No I am not using fat 32, I can chmod with filezila but not sure about "just copy and paste a few relevant lines at a time" bit? Do you want me to paste both files in picon folder,chmod them to 755 & thats it ? or do I need to anything further?

There are two options. Both must be done while in the picon directory in telnet.

Option 1. CHmod 755, then run script (which is all the symlinks)
Option 2. Manually paste the telnet commands, a few at a time.

So you paste these

Thanks for your advice, but unfortunately my issue is inability to establish a telenet connection with my box? It can't find cd/media/hdd? also tried cd/media still showing can't find?
I can't execute these commands without a telent connection or if there is another way round it?

cd = Change directory. You want to change the directory you are in.

This is what I get when try to telenet to my vu solo 2, I had only put "root" in login & I get this big list? never had it before Hades

I'm on Hades and have never seen that. Might be an idea for you to reflash.
