update to latest Blackhole without losing everything

Hi all

my vu+ solo2 receiver is currently running Blackhole 2.0.8 and I would like some help in updating it to the latest version, if im correct the latest version is blackhole 2.1.3

but I do not want updating the box to cause any problems with my current setup, like my channels, cams and other settings

can anybody give me a step by step guide on how I actually go about updating my box from 2.0.8 to the latest version whilst keep everything as it is

I cannot find my full backup on filezilla, according to the box its stored in /media/hdd

but when I use filezilla to look at it, nothing appears help pelase

wel I might go on openvix if somebody could help me find where my full backup is located which I did last night

I don't think, that if you change to vix, you will be able to use your BH backups. Channels lists should be ok though, if you want to save them do it with dreamedit. Other thing you may have you can fpt from box to pc and fpt them back again once you have flashed.

I make a full backup to update from BH 2.1.2 to BH 2.1.3 and i wasnt able to do it.
I just had to install everything again.

yes iv heard I cannot use blackhole backups with vix

hi campogior2 I created a full backup last night but when I logged onto my PC today and opened filezilla I cannot see the full backup in the location, according to the box the backup is set to go into media/HDD but I do not see a backup folder/file

are you saying if I update from 2.08 to the latest version I cannot use my personal backup to restore my settings lie my cams etc, aint bothered about channel list as I can use autobouquests

im tyring to update to the latest blackhole but iv been told I cannot use my personal backup ( with my cams, cam configs etc on it as it may conflict with a new kernel or something)

can anybody please explain what I have to do to get the new blackhole to work with my personal backup please
