Hi.
I have flashed to Zeus but am having a problem with my motorised setup now. Was on vix 808 without problems.
I have a TM-2T with a New Horizons 210 motor. When I try to find satellites, sometimes dish moves to correct position, sometimes it does not. Also noticed that if I use satfinder to go to a satellite, sometimes dish goes to satellite, but if I then change transponder, dish may move off to another position.
Have tried Diseqc, same sort of problem. Tried GOTO 0 and GOTO X and movement is unpredictable.
Have reset motor.
Can setup and tune on say 0.8 degrees west, but then, when I try to move to 15 degrees using sat finder for argument sake, it is hit or miss. Dish could end up pointing at 19 degrees east!
As soon as I return to Vix 808, box behaves itself.
Have flashed new boot loader, same problem. I also tried openatv 4 and suffered the same problem. Very confused.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, Steve.

Anybody else getting anything similar?
I really have no idea on what it causing this.
Steve

I had similar issues with this motor with vix 3.0 any build. I fixed it by sending the motor back and getting a tm2600.

Hi Stevie
I had roughly the same problem when i flashed zeus, all i needed to do was to reset the long and lat settings for my area and it all worked fine again, have you checked your long and lat settings?

@stevie65
Is this a physically setup a motorised dish issue?
or
Configure image to work motorsied dish that was working on previous image?

Irrespective, can you also post a screenshot of your tuner config please. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the replys so far.
The system was setup and working on vix 3 since October last year without problems.
I loaded new boot loader followed by Zeus 2. I then entered tuner configs for my fixed and motorised dish as follows..
Tuner A, config = simple, Mode = Single, Satellite = 28.2, Send Diseqc = no.
Tuner B, config = simple, Mode = Positioner, long = 1.341 west, lat = 50.929 north,
Power measurement = no, tuning step = 0.360, memory positions = 100, Hoz speed = 1.9, Vertical speed = 1.7.
Checked long & lat and are correct.
As I said, strange thing is that same thing happens on openatv 4. As soon as I go back to vix 3 or openatv 3, everything is fine again.
Thanks again, Steve.

With USALS, you don't need to find satellites.

For now, install a motorised channel list through the plugins menu. Just pick channels on several satellites and see if it moves OK.

Just tried catseye 75e to 45w. Still getting the same problem. Was working fine and then I tried changing from a channel at 7.0E to a channel at 15.0W and the dish kept moving west until I stopped it, way past 15.0W point because it was going to hit the wall!.
It is just so unpredictable in its positioning. At one stage, I changed to a channel at 13E (Rai), the dish started moving but stopped short of its position. I then went to a channel at 0.8W fine and then back to 13E fine as well.
Maybe I should try setting tuners up as advanced? although, I had the same problem when I tried Diseqc 1.2 and entering each satellite position.
Thanks for assistance, Steve.

Have tried putting enigma to sleep and loading settings, same problem. Also tried nimms settings from a back up of vix808 I had, same. Tried swapping A & B tuners, same.
To double check, gone back to vix808 again, no problem.
Very weird!.
Steve.

Oh no....
I tried to flash again, now box wont boot at all.
Display just says "Starting" with a "o" moving left and right. Wont let me reflash because it does not get that far. USB stick just gives a very quick flash of its LED when you power on and thats it.
Steve.

OK. All is good now.
Sent box back to technomate. They repaired it and returned it to me with Zeus already installed.
Motor is now moving dish to correct positions, so now I am happy.
I would just like to thank all of you that assisted me in my hour of need.
Steve.
