vix 2.0 no tmp folder to put ipk into why?

hi all
i have tried vix v2.0 three times and each time after install there is no /tmp
to put the ipk into, as anyone else got this problem?
and i have tried to make a folder but no did not work is the uploaded image corrupt?

If its not allowing to put it in their especially if you are using DCC, set a password
 
just use var/volatile/tmp

Using DCC this folder worked fine for me. Once you FTP the .ipk file into this folder, right click on it in DCC and click on 755. Do not restart your receiver or it will delete the .ipk file.
Press Menu, Setup, VIX, IPK Installer and you should see the .ipk file. Press green to install, reboot and you should be good to go.
 
As has been said, the var/volatile/tmp folder is the tmp folder. In this image...

There is a symlink of /tmp to take you to var/volatile/tmp, so all should work as before. If it doesn't, you're likely using a poor ftp program...

:confused:

you must have RESTORED a backup from another image (ie 1.3) you CAN NOT do this as it breaks the 2.0 image.
