hi i see a new ver 2.1 is out,i always like to update the minuet a new one comes out ,i see this is a usb file so all my settings will go ? but worst of all i am afraid to update because of the cccam plugins i heard its a nightmare to find them,so i will leave well alone until i here this as changed keep up the good work !

Just did it myself and it took 5 minutes.

From 2.0.3, Menu > Setup > Software Management > Backup System Settings.

Boot box from USB with 2.1 on and let install run. Boot box and follow setup, selecting to restore your backup settings when asked.

FTP the cccam.ipk to the /tmp/ folder on the box. Menu > Setup > VIX > IPK Installer - install cccam.ipk

FTP your cccam.cfg file to /etc/ and then on the box > blue button > Softcam Manager > Start CCcam (green button) > Blue button to autostart.

Simples! :)

If you don't want to try the system settings backup, it is very easy to FTP your cfg file to your box. I have done a complete rebuild from scratch including manual install of Cccam.ipk in under 10 minutes, never had a problem.

autobackup works very well however a couple of things were not restored
1) cooltv plugin - had to be reinstalled (however my settings were kept - I think they are in \etc\enigma2\settings which is restored OK)
2) CrossEPG settings - I had to go in to the CrossEPG menu to reconfigure this

apart from that just to note that the system took a lot longer to start after flashing than it usually would - maybe because autobackup was restoring various settings/plugins...

Yes, agreed - it did take a long time. I was a little worried for a minute! :)

I didn't have any trouble with CoolTV, but i did have to set up CrossEPG again.
