[VU+ Duo] Vix image keeps crashing,

Hi,

apologises but couldn't find a clear answer

Newbie here having a few problems,

i have purchased a vu+duo box

vix image version 3.0 build 808

i have all the channels set up and using autobouquets

it crashes every time i try to download a plugin or do anything else it just crashes.

also i was try to do a manual scan because on the FTA chgannels there seems to be some channels missing such as dave dave ja vu and 4 Music,

my box updates once a box for new software.

any advice would be apperciated

sorry but the ViX 3.0 image line was discontinued over a year ago, we can no longer issue fixes for this image line as it's build git no longer exists. if you want continued ViX image support you must update to a more upto date image such as OpenViX Apollo build 118 which is our current image.

thanks i have updated my vix image to apollo 118. so i all up to date but with my freeview channels i cant receive dave and 4music channels. its on the sky channels which are encrypted, but not on the freeview list there not there, any advice please

are you using ABM to set the freeview channels (assume not).
Is it possible that your TV aerial has moved in the wind?

I know I struggle to tune dave and 4music (film4 and really also) just because of my location/signal strength.
The channels list from ABM, but I can't really receive them.

Freeview/Terrestrial = Aerial involved. Do you have a DVB-T tuner? Freeview and Freesat are different things.

Yes using ABM to set channels. I have a vu+duo box with a 1 metre wide satellite, I am talking about FTA Channels. I receive them on satellite channels but not on FTA channel list

No mate if memory serves via sky they are FTV (Free to View) not FTA (Free to Air).

We have Freeview on the upstairs TV pal, just via an on the roof aerial. They are both on there. I'm maybe getting confused with the FTA and FTV difference though.

You have mentioned confusion between two items. There are three items.

Using an aerial.
Freeview = No card required for the free chanenls. Worth pointing out that there are subscription services on Freeview.

For satellite
Free To Air = No card required
Free To View = Card required with entitlements that can be read

Yes thats freeview via a TV Ariel, Freesat via a satellite dish is a whole different thing.
