hi m8s
i wonder whats the difference between Apollo , Hades and vix images?

regards

Not a lot , basically different versions of the Vix image.

Sulo,
as I understand it they are evolutions in time of the same application - they used to have 3.0 (before my time), then went through a series of Greek god codenames, then back to 3.2 number. I think the major change each time is when the underlying Linux kernel upon which the build is based gets a major update itself. And there are performance and feature enhancements as well as bug fixes. Advice seems to be to try to stay up to date - currently 3.2 build with upgrade 015.

Obviously therefore not a lot of difference between a Ford Model T and a Porsche 911 .... both cars :)

Even during the lifetime of a version like Hades, there are changes under the covers, which is why users are sometimes asked to flash without restoring plugins etc. .. as well as smaller things like drivers, when manufacturer's find time to get round to it :).
As iwg has said there are changes to the Kernel and usually also changes to the Enigma2 Image components that for example make you prefer to choose ViX :) , so its more than one component that changes.

There are also at times changes such the HD skins and the internal changes to support these skins.

Overall, not that simple!

I was keeping it simple , both cars mentioned were capable of getting you from A to B . plus I'm not knowledgably enough to give a detailed explanation.
