Hi,
it is not a problem of the image. There are 3 possibilities:
1. you do not have the correct directory structure on the stick
2. the stick is not recognized
3. you do not press ch- (I think it is this button on the Uno) at the Uno itself NOT on the RC

ciao

I own 3 flash drives, but only one of them is recognised by the box for flashing. Strange thing is it's the smallest size, 4gb and the only one out f the 3 that's USB 2, the others are 3.

it is well known cheap chinese usb may not work, there is a post on forum listing working usb,i use kingston 8gb:)

dear this is image problem i am using dm and vu+ boxes since ages never faced such problem
i tried different images i know how to flash image on vu+
i donr get any option to press ch-
my advice to all plz dont use vix image i tried one year back and disappointed i thought they might had improved but nothing cams needs to restart most often to work with vix

have you tried formatting the USB as EXT2 or higher

A stick for flashing the box must always be in FAT32.

And surely this is not an image problem, as it is your box that doesn't read the stick......

I use the ViX image on 7 different receivers all without issue, including a Vu+ Uno, the issue is most certainly not with the image, so please stop the scaremongering attempts.

I have really no idea what you're talking about. Zeus and all it's (released & unreleased) predecessors work(ed) fine here on 10 boxes.
Surely the fact that you had issue before means that something is wrong at your side.

Hi,
just for information: I also flash my boxes with 32GB sticks but all are USB2. With USB3 I would be careful. They should be compatible but from my own experience I know that is not always the case.

Flashing is done my the bootloader and this has nothing to do with the image. So an image can never ever be the reason why flashing fails. 99% of the time the reason sits in front of the box.

ciao

dear all

thanks for your comments i am sensible man im doing all reasonable precautions i am using usb 2 not 3 and this problem occurred after vix flash i am using my uno ang flashings images as many time i want there is no hardware problem in my box

I had an issue with my Uno not recognising newer USB drives, I got it working by using an old 1GB drive as suggested here and it works fine.
